Into actionIn the role of EAME Procurement Business Partner Logistics you are part of the EAME Direct Procurement Team. You will work in close coordination with counterparts within the regions to ensuring common strategies, standards and the establishment of a regional organization with global alignment. The ability to gain credibility with internal stakeholders and persuade people to change and/or adhere to a certain strategic direction is critical and part of your job. You have an in depth understanding of the supply market for Third Party Logistics services in EAME, and the ability to determine opportunities for cost reduction and supplier enhancement is important.
The Procurement BP Logistics ensures a total control of spend (~$35m) through proper commercial strategies and alignment with the requirements of the region. You have the regional leadership of the logistics category and associated sub-categories across EAME, ensuring appropriate resources and capabilities. You develop, validate, and implement sustainable regional category and sub-category strategies which are closely aligned with business requirements delivering cost effective solutions for operational requirements and aiming at reducing the total cost of ownership (TCO). As Procurement BP you build relationships and work closely with the Logistics Operations in the region to ensure a full understanding of the strategy. Furthermore you map key stakeholders with whom relations need to be established and maintained and develop constructive working relationships with key suppliers ensuring supplier.
Your profileIn order to make this position a success, you have at least a Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Business or Logistics education and you a minimum of 5 years' commercial experience gained in a Procurement or Supply Chain environment. You are seen as an open and honest team player with the ability to work in a cohesive, multicultural team to deliver strategic and operational goals. You have absolute excellent communication-, influencing- and presentation skills in English and preferably German/France. Analysing, think strategically and the capability in developing sourcing strategies is in your nature. Least but not least, you have a proven record of successes in negotiations with suppliers and you have experience in Project Management.
